Its specific objective is to ensure the long-term financial stability and autonomy of projects that are run by young workers’ movements., The ICF is named after Joseph Cardijn for it draws its inspiration from his ideas. Cardijn was born in a Belgian working-class family in 1882. He soon became aware of the problems faced by young workers at the time., For its functioning, the ICF relies on a team of volunteers who are involved in raising funds. Those funds come from donations by people or movements wishing to support a just cause: that of young workers.
