Flickr is almost certainly the best online photo management and sharing application in the world. Show off your favorite photos and videos to the world, securely and privately show content to your friends and family, or blog the photos and videos you take with a cameraphone.

I started taking photos at a local motor racing track near Edinburgh in my late teens with a Kodak 126 Instamatic. Soon after I discovered the joys (and expense!) of 35mm SLRs and eventually settled with Canon (an original F1, which I still have). I still use Canon, but have now graduated to an EOS 1D Mk III, with a heap of lenses (and another 1D Mk III, a 1D Mk II and 20D - for back-up). I've tried photographing lots of things, but keep returning to sport and landscapes, as I enjoy the diametrically opposed challenges offered by these two subjects - the combination of speed of thought and 'trigger' finger with sport and the slowed-down, considered approach to landscape. I have recently agreed to submit photographs to the sports pages (and maybe others in time) of the Edinburgh hyperlocal website, The Edinburgh Reporter My 'seasons' run from September to August (-ish), and a more comprehensive set of photos e.g. from a football or rugby match will be posted here - My web gallery to allow participants and other interested parties to obtain prints.
