JUTA (Jamaica Union of Travellers Association) – JUTA Union of Travellers Association, JUTA was formed in the early 1973. JUTA Tours Jamaica provides bus charter rental service, tour and limo buses, limousine, cars, coaches, other luxury vehicles and transfer, sightseeing and tour services. Today there are about 5000 Members from six chapters as of 2004, making J.U.T.A., Jamaica’s premier and largest ground transportation association in the English-speaking Caribbean. JUTA was formed because of a need to provide tour and taxi movement in and around Jamaica as well as from International Airports and all tourist attractions and locations throughout Jamaica. All JUTA members/drivers are required to have Road Safe vehicles that meet all licensing and certification requirements as well as all of the vehicles being fully air conditioned and having seat belts. All drivers must have a current road license, JTB (Jamaica Tourist Board) license and a TPD Co. The JUTA (Jamaica Union of Travelers Association) - Negril Chapter was formed in the early 1960's and was founded with 50 original members. JUTA was formed because of a need to provide tour and taxi movement in and around Negril as well as from International Airports and all tourist attractions and locations throughout Jamaica. The Negril Chapter of JUTA currently has approximately 300 drivers who provide fully equipped transportation in buses, cars, coaches and luxury vehicles.
