We would like to ask the families of the Berkeley Soccer Association teams to help make this Thanksgiving happy for as many families in Berkeley township as we can and here is our plan. We would like each team to put together two Thanksgiving dinners for needy families here in town. Here is what we want each team to provide: Turkey 3 cans turkey gravey 5lb bag of potatoes a bag of fresh carrots a bag of fresh onions a bag of fresh celery a bag of stuffing mix 2 cans of corn 2 cans of peas package of dinner rolls (not the refrigerated kind) can of cranberry sauce fresh apple pie a gallon of apple ciderAll of these items should be packaged into a large laundry basket or other large reusable plastic container (no paper bags or cardboard boxes please).To make this happen, each team should have a parent be the coordinator for this. Have this parent be the one to organize the packaging of your team's dinners. We would like all of this to be completed by Sunday, November 21st. Our tentative plan is to collect everything a the Berkeley Soccer Complex the weekend of November 20th and 21st. Dinners will be ready to deliver to families on Monday, November 22nd. The person who is coordination this for the club is Anita Jones. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to give Anita a call. There is no reason we can't feed 50 families this Thanksgiving!!! If any team wants to provide more than two dinners, we would say AWESOME!!! Please help us to make this a Happy Thanksgiving for all the families in Berkeley!!!
