Ralph Benatzky is the composer of the world famous operetta Im weißen Rössl (The White Horse Inn). He wrote many other musical comedies, revues, chansons, and film music, in Vienna, Berlin, Hollywood and New York. His most important work was written in th 1920s, he went into exile in 1940 and returned to Europe after the war. He died in 1957 in Switzerland and is burried in St. Wolfgang.
