Middle Tyger Community Center (MTCC) brings together state and local agencies to support the District Five Area and adjoining areas of the county. Located in the former Lyman Elementary School, MTCC includes programs ranging from adolescent pregnancy prevention and support for pregnant and parenting adolescents to family counseling, family support services, crisis intervention, and educational opportunities for all ages.

The Doe Fund has worked to develop programs to empower formerly homeless and low-income individuals. Our Ready, Willing & Able program includes services for Individuals with HIV and AIDS, a Welfare-to-Work initiative, permanent affordable housing projects and a new criminal justice program.

Chicago House and Social Service Agency provides permanent, community-based housing, supportive services and basic life skills to individuals, families and children struggling with HIV and AIDS. Many come to Chicago House with the added burdens of poverty, homelessness, few if any job skills, substance abuse and mental illness. The agency is based in Chicago, Illinois, and operates four residential facilities to give affected Chicagoans opportunities most have never had: a permanent home; a place to learn and practice the techniques of everyday living; and a community of professionals and peers who provide dignity, encouragement and hope.
