Owen has been a photographer for well over 30 years. Packing his gear most everywhere he goes and setting off on new adventures every chance he gets. You'll find photo galleries from Nature and Human Nature, Yacht (www.cycseattle.org) and Hydroplane (www.apba-racing.com) racing, to Indy-Car (www.indycar.com) and his personal favorite, the Reno National Championship Air Races (www.airraces.org), where Owen's been a Pylon Judge since 2002. Owen has travelled to the four corners of America as well as Canada, Mexico, Switzerland, Tahiti, and Africa (Bio photo was taken at the home of "Out of Africa" author Karen Blixen, outside Nairobi, Kenya). With well over 45,000 digital images in his library there is much to choose from so these pages are but a small sample of his work. Currently Owen shoots almost exclusively in RAW format using the Canon 5D MarkII body w/BG-E6 vertical Grip Battery Pack, an EF 24-105 f/4 IS USM, an EF 70-200 f/2.8 IS USM, EF 2X II Externder, Speedlite 580EXII Flash, (www.canon.com) and the usual filters and other accessories, although many of these images were captured on Nikon gear prior to switching to Canon. Owen limits the use of Photoshop (www.adobe.com) and Canon's Digit Photo Professional software to standard editing, choosing to spend more time shooting and less time in front of the monitor!
