Snowshoe Magazine is a Web-based publication focusing on the worldwide sport of snowshoeing. The magazine is focused on providing original content and important information to three different groups of readers, Web site visitors and followers of the sport, including snowshoeing first-timers, enthusiasts and competitive racers. The content for both the e-zine and the future print edition will encompass four core focus points: Destinations: Snowshoers need a place to snowshoe. And, if it's covered with snow...it's a go. However, there is a vast and growing selection of worldwide destinations for snowshoers to visit. The Snowshoeing Racing Circuit: Known for its excitement and adrenaline-junky participators, the competitors are kicking up snow to win some prize money and recognition. Health/Fitness: Snowshoeing is known to be the fastest growing winter sport in the United States,but the sport is driven by a fan base of health-nuts, those searching for a winter fitness kick and participants that just want to rid themselves of cabin fever. Advocacy: Protection of the Environment and Open Space: Without a clean and livable environment, snowshoeing cannot be possible. Because the sport depends on snow and global warming is becoming an issue in the environment's weather stability, we are participants in the fight against environmental ignorance.
