At this time in my life, 74, I feel it is time to give back what I have received from my Lord over the years, and now I enjoy doing God&rsquo;s work. My wife Charlotte and I married in 1980. We have three children from our previous marriages, six grand-children, and lots of nieces, great-nieces and nephews. Professionally, I am a retired entrepreneur who recruited executive management during the 70's, 80's and 90's. My skill was to invade the corridors of power at the behest of others, and headhunt talent. Another skill of mine is language, which I believe came naturally. I continue to learn and study everyday. I began with French as a child, German as young adult in Germany, and now Spanish to help others in their daily struggles. Some Latin and Greek helps keep my mental molecules connecting like they should. In the 60's I was an import/export sales manager responsible for Europe and the Far East, living in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. I sought the wonder of world travel as an excitement in my life, like others who chose to pursue technical endeavors. My most recent travels include: Hawaii, Israel and short trips around the south eastern US. In 1979, I founded an information services company, Charles Bernard &amp; Associates, Inc. We specialized in Retained Executive Search; - Xukor Inc., a pre-employment Referencing &amp; Screening company, that did due diligence for mergers and acquisitions as well; Employers Mutual of Georgia, Inc, an automated database service for retail employers; Civil Recovery Inc, a national service for asset and loss recovery for retailers; An Automated Windows Criminal Checks and Automated Telephone Background Checks for Large Retail Stores. The Xukor Company, the largest of the corporations, was sold in 2002. As of September 2009 all of my businesses are out of my hands. Here at Newsvine I enjoy sharing the many stories and experiences which have shaped life as I explored the countries and cultures of the world. Apropos my being a Catholic and proud of it, I post some words, that are now famous, from Bishop Sheen in 1938: <em> "There are not over a hundred people in the United States who hate the Catholic Church. There are millions, however, who hate what they wrongly believe to be the Catholic Church&mdash;which is, of course, quite a different thing. These millions can hardly be blamed for hating Catholics because Catholics &ldquo;adore statues;&rdquo; because they &ldquo;put the Blessed Mother on the same level with God;&rdquo; because they &ldquo;say indulgence is a permission to commit sin;&rdquo; because the Pope &ldquo;is a Fascist;&rdquo; because the Church &ldquo;is the defender of Capitalism.&rdquo; If the Church taught or believed any one of these things, it should be hated, but the fact is that the Church does not believe nor teach any one of them. It follows then that the hatred of the millions is directed against error and not against truth.
