Calvary Temple Christian Center Ministries was founded by Reverend John R. Thompson, Sr. Reverend Thompson accepted Christ as his Savior in 1974. He was called into the ministry in 1985. He founded Calvary in the fall of 1992 with his wife Jenice R. Thompson, and one son, John R. Thompson, II (at that time) and approximately 5 mothers as starting members.
