Diversity in 2007 can no longer be defined in terms that place emphasis solely on our cultural, racial and gender differences. Today, there are a number of critical forces that drive diversity and force Washington State University to examine the things we have in common in order to build bridges and leadership skills. We will not only dialogue and teach concepts about prejudice reduction and tolerance, but we will demonstrate in the class room, and NCBI training sessions the importance of learning other cultural values, norms, customs and expectations for students who graduate from WSU and begin a career in a multicultural work force.
