新黨是中華民國政府開放黨禁後成立的一個政黨，於1993年成立，在全盛期曾為臺灣的第三大黨。以清廉制衡、公義均富、族群和諧、國家統一為訴求。 1993年新國民黨連線在台灣南北舉行數場批判李登輝的「問政說明會」，開始對李登輝的黨政方向表達不滿。同年8月10日新黨成立，總部設在中華民國臺北市。新黨發起人為趙少康、李勝峰、郁慕明、王建煊、陳癸淼、李慶華、周荃等七人，趙少康被推舉為第一任「全國競選暨發展委員會」召集人，也就是新黨黨主席。 新黨屬於泛藍陣營，理念與政治主張是追求民族統一、政治民主、民生均富的目標，堅守公義、平等、和平、安全、務實、乾淨的原則。
